Position Summary 

The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and continuously improving high-quality learning solutions that support operational excellence across Title Express. This role partners with business leaders and subject matter experts to translate complex business processes into engaging, learner-centered training experiences that improve employee performance, operational consistency, and organizational effectiveness. 

The Learning & Development Specialist serves as the department's learning design expert by developing instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, multimedia, and blended learning solutions while ensuring all learning materials remain current, accurate, and aligned with business objectives. 

Although this role does not have direct supervisory responsibility, the Learning & Development Specialist may facilitate training sessions, workshops, onboarding programs, Train the Trainer initiatives, and other learning events based on business needs. 

Essential Functions 

Instructional Design & Development 

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain instructor-led, virtual, self-paced, and blended learning programs. 

  • Conduct learning needs analyses in partnership with business leaders and subject matter experts. 

  • Translate operational procedures, policies, and system enhancements into engaging, learner-focused curriculum. 

  • Develop onboarding programs, role-based learning paths, continuing education, certification programs, and knowledge transfer initiatives. 

  • Apply instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Agile Learning, or similar) and adult learning principles to maximize learner engagement and knowledge retention. 

  • Continuously evaluate and improve training materials based on business changes and learner feedback. 

Multimedia & Digital Learning 

  • Develop interactive eLearning courses and digital learning experiences. 

  • Produce instructional videos, demonstrations, simulations, and scenario-based learning. 

  • Design graphics, infographics, job aids, facilitator guides, participant materials, and quick reference resources. 

  • Leverage AI-enabled technologies and learning tools to improve efficiency and learner engagement. 

  • Maintain consistency in branding, formatting, and instructional standards across all learning assets. 

Learning Facilitation 

  • Facilitate instructor-led and virtual training sessions as business needs require. 

  • Conduct Train the Trainer sessions for internal teams and external business partners. 

  • Deliver onboarding, refresher training, workshops, webinars, and change management training. 

  • Support major business initiatives through classroom instruction and knowledge transfer activities. 

Learning Technology & Analytics 

  • Develop knowledge assessments, competency validations, surveys, and evaluations. 

  • Utilize Microsoft Forms and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to administer learning content and assessments. 

  • Analyze learner feedback and training metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. 

  • Monitor training effectiveness and recommend enhancements to improve business outcomes. 

Business Partnership 

  • Collaborate with operational leaders, project teams, and subject matter experts to identify learning needs. 

  • Participate in enterprise initiatives requiring learning strategy, curriculum development, or organizational readiness. 

  • Consult with stakeholders on the most effective instructional approach based on business objectives. 

Content Governance 

  • Maintain curriculum version control and documentation standards. 

  • Ensure training materials remain compliant with current business processes and policies. 

  • Conduct periodic audits of learning content to ensure accuracy and effectiveness. 

  • Manage updates resulting from system enhancements, process changes, and organizational initiatives. 

Continuous Improvement 

  • Research industry trends, instructional design best practices, and emerging learning technologies. 

  • Recommend innovative learning solutions that improve employee performance and scalability. 

  • Identify opportunities to automate, modernize, and streamline learning experiences.

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and professional experience. 

  • Three (3) or more years of experience designing and developing corporate learning programs. 

  • Experience facilitating instructor-led and virtual training. 

  • Strong written communication and curriculum development skills. 

  • Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 

Preferred 

  • Five (5)+ years of instructional design experience. 

  • Experience supporting operational or corporate learning environments. 

  • Experience designing enterprise-level learning solutions. 

  • Experience supporting organizational change initiatives. 

Preferred Certifications

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. 

  • Ability to frequently operate a computer and standard office equipment. 

  • Ability to present information to individuals and groups both in-person and virtually. 

  • Ability to occasionally lift training materials or equipment up to 20 pounds. 

Work Environment 

  • Hybrid work environment. 

  • Candidate must reside within the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area and be available to work onsite as business needs require.

Travel Requirements 

  • Primarily local travel within the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. 

  • Occasional domestic travel may be required to support training initiatives, business meetings, or operational projects.

This position serves as an individual contributor and subject matter expert. While the role does not have direct supervisory responsibility, it may provide functional guidance, facilitate learning initiatives, and support trainers and business partners as needed.
