Funciones y Responsabilidades Principales / Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Adheres to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements
• Initiates, directs and manages the design, development, constructing and modification of products and processes from conception to implementation.
• Works closely with other departments to coordinate design engineering activities.
• Reviews, initiates or approves engineering drawings, layouts, changes orders and specifications. Design manufacturing equipment or automated machinery using Solidworks, often where no machine currently exists to perform the task
• Redesign existing machines to implement improvements in functionality, safety, or efficiency
• Generate drawings and bills of materials in Solidworks for all designed equipment
• Assist and guide the assembly of machines or retrofit packages to existing equipment
• Interface with manufacturing sites to gather information, host design reviews, and coordinate installations Interface with outside vendors such as fabrication shops and suppliers
• Perform on-site installation and training (maintenance, engineering, user/operator)
• Provide post-installation and production support and troubleshooting (remotely and on-site)
• Research and test technologies and available components for future generations of automated machines
• Performs other duties as required

Requerimiento del Puesto / Job Requirements

Educación Mínima / Minimum Education:

Either a 4-year engineering degree; mechanical or similar with 4-7 years of experience, or a 2-year technical degree with 7-10 years’ experience in a contributing mechanical/design engineering position

Experiencia Mínima / Minimum Experience:

Minimum 4 years of experience in a contributing mechanical/design engineering position

Conocimiento Especializado / Specialized Knowledge:

Solidworks

Knowledge of electromechanical systems such as actuators and electrical motors

Knowledge of sensing devices

Knowledge of linear and rotary motion devices such as linear guides, bearings, etc.

Knowledge of machine guarding and general machine safety principles

Knowledge of measuring/ inspection equipment including vision systems, laser measurement, load cells and pressure transducers
Experience in NPI and/or Transfers
