Seasoned professional with extensive experience leading Digital Technology transformation initiatives within financial‑services environments and multinational organizations. Recognized for a results‑driven approach, strong IT leadership, and advanced agile delivery capabilities, enabling the efficient execution of high‑impact, business‑critical initiatives.
This role ensures the implementation of secure, scalable and reliable digital platforms, aligned with MetLife's New Frontier Strategy. The primary responsibility is to work closely with Digital Business Mexico, ensuring that Digital Technology decisions are consistent with business priorities, customer experience expectations and enterprise‑wide architectural standards.
Committed to information security, regulatory compliance and best practices, this leader will ensure that MetLife Mexico's digital ecosystem remains resilient, innovative and aligned to global vision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Technology Leadership
- Lead end‑to‑end strategy, development, governance and performance of all digital assets, including websites, mobile apps, portals and emerging digital channels.
- Ensure reliable, secure, measurable and scalable digital experiences aligned to global standards and enterprise architecture.
Business Partnership
- Act as the primary Digital Technology partner for Mexico's digital portfolio, representing technology needs, priorities and roadmaps.
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify digital opportunities and deliver value‑adding solutions.
Execution & Delivery
- Implement new delivery models based on agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe or similar).
- Oversee project scope, business requirements and process optimization across digital platforms.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts, moving the organization from reactive detection to proactive prevention of service disruptions.
Innovation
- Identify, design and implement short‑term innovative solutions that solve current business challenges while building the foundation for long‑term transformation.
- Leverage global, regional and industry best practices to accelerate delivery and optimize capabilities.
Service Model & Architecture
- Design and evolve a service‑oriented model focused on business capabilities.
- Ensure alignment with global architecture, reuse of enterprise assets and reduction of redundant technology investments.
Budgeting & Control
- Collaborate with finance and internal teams to define and execute IT budgets.
- Ensure operational compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.
Talent Management
- Provide clarity on responsibilities, standards and deliverables to all team members.
- Offer continuous and constructive feedback, enabling individual and team performance.
- Establish yearly performance goals and conduct talent reviews to support growth and career progression.
SKILLS & CAPABILITIES
- Strategic Vision & Planning - Ability to define long‑term Digital Technology direction aligned with business and enterprise priorities.
- Leadership - Strong ability to inspire, mentor and influence teams toward organizational outcomes.
- Technical Expertise - Deep understanding of digital platforms, cloud technologies, integration architecture, infrastructure services and industry technology trends.
- Project Management - Capable of overseeing complex IT initiatives, including budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation using agile best practices.
- Communication - Strong negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills across all organizational levels.
- Innovation - Ability to identify problems, propose creative solutions and drive execution of new ideas.
- Team Development - Proven experience building, developing and retaining high‑performance Digital Technology teams.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Business Knowledge / Technical Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
- 15+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in Director‑level or senior technology leadership roles.
- Fluency in Business English (spoken and written).
- Strong leadership, communication and negotiation abilities.
- Experience working in multinational environments with cross‑functional and global teams.
- Cultural adaptability and strong decision‑making skills.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to: VP IT - Mexico
- Internal interaction with: VPs, AVPs, Directors and Managers across cross‑functional areas (Digital, Operations, Risk, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Regional/Global IT).
- Direct Reports: Engineers, developers, functional analysts, application owners and agile team leads.
