Job Purpose:
To support the Finance Manager by ensuring that effective and proper financial procedures and systems are established with good corporate governance and internal controls enforced in accordance with Group policies and guidelines to support business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support and assist Finance Manager to oversee all accounting processes
- Assist in monitoring and implementing controls for all accounting functions
- Manage treasury functions and cash flow planning
- Support Finance Manager to ensure timely and accurate month end closing and reporting
- Review journals, reconciliations and monthly schedules
- Support forecasting and budgeting exercise as per group requirement/guidelines
- Support in internal and external audits
- Support in taxation matters according to local regulations
- Liaise with external auditor, tax agent, corporate secretarial agent as required
- Ensure compliance with all statutory filing requirements
- Propose on areas of systems and process improvement
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with established group policies and support resolution of operational matters
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned by the management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Essential:
- Good knowledge of IFRS
- At least 3 years’ experience as operational/financial accountant
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Basic understanding of Thailand tax regulations (WHT, VAT)
- Strong communication skills in English both written and verbal
- Strong numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently as well as being a proactive team member
- Hands-on and can-do spirit
Desirable:
- Experience in the maritime industry
Education, and Professional Qualifications:
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree, majoring in accounting
Desirable:
CPA, ACCA or equivalent
Other Requirements:
Essential:
Authorization to work in Thailand
