Job Summary
We are seeking a Country EHS Subject Matter Expert to lead Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives in Thailand. This role ensures compliance with EHS regulations, supports business needs, and drives a strong safety culture across the organization. The position reports to the Head of EHS (Market Area).
Key Responsibilities
Lead and implement local and Market Area EHS policies, programs, and directives
Ensure compliance with local regulations, company standards, and global EHS strategies
Monitor, analyze, and report EHS performance to Thailand Leadership Team and Market Area EHS Head
Provide expert EHS guidance to business units, projects, and operations
Drive initiatives to reduce incidents, occupational health risks, and environmental impact
Manage EHS governance, including internal and customer meetings
Support audits (ISO, internal, external) and ensure closure of non-conformities
Review subcontractor EHS performance and ensure alignment with company standards
Approve subcontractors based on EHS compliance and performance
Identify gaps, communicate findings, and drive corrective action plans
Collaborate with sourcing, operations, and stakeholders to strengthen EHS compliance
Conduct incident investigations and produce detailed reports
Deliver training and promote continuous improvement in EHS practices

Key Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related field (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent)
Minimum 10 years of EHS leadership experience, including contractor management
Strong knowledge of local EHS regulations and compliance requirements
Experience with EHS reporting systems, audits, and data analysis
Proven ability to present to leadership and external stakeholders
Experience in incident investigation and corrective action management
Knowledge of sustainability and corporate responsibility practices
Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting tools
Additional Requirements
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Ability to work independently and drive initiatives proactively
Experience managing subcontractor performance and compliance
Capability to support onboarding of safety vendors and contractors
Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally
Continuous improvement mindset and attention to detail
