Job Description:Job Summary
The Test Product Engineer is responsible for managing semiconductor product and production test activities at subcontractor (OSAT) sites. This role works closely with DFT, product engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure test readiness, yield performance, and on-time product release to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage wafer sort and final test activities at OSAT/subcontractor sites
- Own product test coverage, test flow, and test limits from development through mass production
- Coordinate between design/R&D, product engineering, manufacturing, and OSAT teams to support product release milestones
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), including test development, correlation, validation, and production ramp-up
- Monitor test yield, DPPM, and quality metrics; drive yield improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Lead failure analysis and root cause investigation for test escapes, yield loss, and customer returns
- Support engineering change orders (ECO), test revisions, and product transfers
- Ensure test hardware and processes meet reliability, cost, quality, and schedule target requirements
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline
- Experience in semiconductor test/product engineering or manufacturing test
- Solid knowledge of test hardware design (probe cards, load boards, sockets, DUT boards)
- Strong understanding of wafer sort and final test processes
- Experience working with OSATs and high-volume manufacturing environments
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills
- Preferred Skills
- Experience with ATE platforms Advantest 93K SmartScale PS1600 or ExaScale
- Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and high-speed digital/analog testing
- Experience in yield analysis, test data mining, and statistical bin limit (SBL)
- Familiarity with NPI, product qualification, and mass production release
