Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test & Product Engineer to oversee NPI setup and mass production product validation, test development, and yield improvement throughout the product lifecycle. This role requires close collaboration with the design engineering team to develop factory test solutions, which will later be consigned and set up at the EMS site.

You will be a pioneer member of the Bitdeer Penang team, responsible for establishing unique product test processes at the EMS, and potentially leading a small team in the development, implementation, and optimization of test strategies, ensuring product quality, reliability, and performance meet or exceed industry standards.

What you will be responsible for:

Test Development & Validation

• Development and implementation of test plans, procedures, and test hardware/software for new and existing products.
• Drive test program development and optimization for production (Burn in, pretest and Aging test, etc.).
• Work closely with R&D and design teams to define testability requirements and ensure DFT (Design for Test) practices.

Product Engineering & Lifecycle Support

• Oversee product characterization, qualification, and reliability testing.
• Analyse production data for yield improvement and root-cause analysis of failures, provide direction to EMS to debug if needed.
• Manage product lifecycle support including NPI (New Product Introduction), sustaining engineering, and EOL processes.

Technical Leadership & Team Management

• Opportunity to lead and mentor a team of test and product engineers, providing guidance, performance management, and skill development.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, R&D, and operations teams.

Continuous Improvement & Data Analysis

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in test methodologies and processes.
• Utilize data analytics tools to monitor KPIs such as yield, test time, and quality metrics.
• Implement cost-reduction strategies while maintaining high-quality standards.

How you will stand out:

• Bachelor's/Master’s Degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in test/product engineering
• Solid knowledge of electronic product testing, failure analysis and debug techniques.
• Experience with test data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
