About the role
Develops and executes software and system tests, ensuring high-quality VeriFone products through thorough planning, automation, analysis, and issue resolution.
What you'll do
- Develops and performs software and system-level testing on VeriFone products to maintain VeriFone product quality standards.
- Develops and executes software test plans, detailed test cases and test procedures. Modifies or develops test scripts when appropriate to support automated test execution.
- Maintains documentation of test results and refines testing of the product to ensure reproducible identification of problems to assist in debugging and modification of software.
- Analyses test results to ensure coverage against product requirements.
- Supports and consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
What qualifications will you need to be successful?
- Automation and Scripting experience of 2 to 3 years
- Good understanding of Python
- Understanding of Test Automation tools and process
- Knowledge of Communication interfaces such as WiFi, Cellular, BT and USB is desirable
- Analyzes requirements and other engineering documentation to establish test plans, test cases and test procedures
- Writes test scripts for automated testing using Python
- Performs manual test execution, analyzes results and generates test reports
- Establishes repeatable test scenarios for identified failures and supports efforts to identify the source of failures while working with engineering to resolve issues
- Works on assignments with clearly defined objectives.
- Works under direct supervision.
