The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking an experienced Test Engineer; this position will allow for full time telework from any U.S. based location.
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly motivated Test Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our Moveworks AI Assistant platform. This role will focus on designing, developing, and executing both manual and automated tests to validate chatbot functionality, integrations, and user experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a key member of the innovation and automation team, you will partner closely with developers, product managers, and AI/automation engineers to build a robust testing framework that ensures smooth, scalable, and error-free interactions for our users.
Test Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for the Moveworks AI assistant, covering functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Design automated test scripts to validate end-to-end automation workflows, APIs, and system integrations.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
Automation Development
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks for chatbot interactions and integrations with enterprise systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Workday, Jira, Igloo, MS Teams).
- Implement continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, high-quality releases.
Collaboration & Improvement
- Partner with engineers and AI specialists to define acceptance criteria and improve testability of chatbot features.
- Work with business stakeholders to validate chatbot performance, intent recognition, and response accuracy.
- Stay current on emerging AI QA best practices and bring lessons learned into automation across intelligent automation and AI initiatives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- 4+ years of experience in software testing and QA automation.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, REST Assured).
- Proficiency in testing REST APIs, JSON payloads, and chatbot/integration workflows.
- Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, JavaScript, or Java).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- AI / NLP : Experience testing AI-driven applications, NLP systems, or enterprise chatbots (Moveworks, CoPilot, IBM Watson, or similar).
- Enterprise SaaS : Knowledge of enterprise SaaS platforms such as ServiceNow, Workday, Microsoft 365, Jira.
- Cloud & Data : Familiarity with AWS / Azure cloud services, understanding of data technologies like Apache Spark, NoSQL, Kafka.
- Performance & Monitoring : Experience with load/performance testing of conversational AI solutions and tools (Splunk, ELK, Datadog).
