Job Title: Test Engineer

Location: Aachen, Germany

Job Type: Full-time

 About the Role:

We are looking for a Test Engineer to join our high-tech assembly and test production facility. In this role, you will be responsible for validating that every device meets our rigorous performance and reliability standards before it reaches the customer. You will work closely with design and production teams to implement test solutions, troubleshoot failures, and optimize test coverage for high-volume manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:


Test Execution & Monitoring: Execute and monitor production test programs on Automated and Semi Auto Test Equipment  to identify manufacturing defects.

Troubleshooting & Debugging: Perform basic hardware and software debugging to isolate the root cause of test failures, distinguishing between equipment malfunctions and actual product defects.

Yield & Data Analysis: Analyze test data and performance metrics to identify trends, monitor process stability, and support yield improvement initiatives.

NPI Support: Assist in the bring-up and qualification of new products by helping to develop and validate test plans, scripts, and hardware interfaces.

Maintenance & Calibration: Ensure test systems and fixtures are properly calibrated and performing as intended to maintain accurate data collection.

Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for test procedures, bug tracking, and compliance reports in alignment with industry standards like ISO.


 Qualification:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience: 0–2 years of experience in electronics testing or manufacturing. Relevant internships or university projects involving measurement or lab instrumentation are highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

Basic programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, C/C++, or LabVIEW) for test automation.

Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and signal generators.

Understanding of digital logic, CMOS fundamentals, and semiconductor device physics.

 Soft Skills:

Strong analytical mindset with an interest in finding and solving complex "puzzle-like" hardware problems.

Effective communication for reporting technical issues to cross-functional engineering teams.
