We have an opportunity for a Test Engineer I - Electronics to join our Honeywell Aerospace team in Brno, Czech Republic. Be part of a team that designs and builds test equipment for aerospace.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities
- Designing test equipment (test stands and test fixtures) – according to system requirements.
- Co-operating with cross functional teams regarding evaluation/management of any integration issue.
- Setting up test fixtures/tools/racks and developing new ones.
- Troubleshooting HW issues.
- Supporting test campaigns electrical and mechanical laboratories, such as EMC laboratory, Environmental Test laboratory etc.
- Lab equipment handling (oscilloscope, multimeter, power supply).
- Applying international standards (UL, CSA, CE, ATEX, IEC etc.) and Honeywell internal processes.
- Defining, establishing and promoting test methodologies
- Creating technical reports (test procedure definition, records, results and summaries, certification documents).
- Reading technical drawings and datasheets.
- Co-operation with colleagues in Brno as well as at other locations in Europe, USA or Asia.
- Occasional travel, mostly in Europe and USA
Key Experience & Capabilities
- Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering
- Technical mindset, practical skills, practical experience in PCB design, electronic and mechanical gadgets, tools and fixtures
- Experience with Electronic CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD electrical, KiCad EDA) is preferred
- Good written and verbal English language skills, capability to read and write complex technical texts in English
- Electrotechnical education and experience as required for work with electrical devices per par.6 of Vyhláška 50/1978 Sb.
- Excellence in product design validation (testing product functionality and performance characteristics against product requirements)
- Proficiency in testing according to international standards (e.g. IEC, EN or UL) is preferred.
