As an Advanced Human Factors Scientist here at Honeywell, you will drive the development of cutting-edge technologies, lead critical projects, and ensure Honeywell remains a leader in technological advancements. You will report directly to our Senior Software Engineering Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Brno, Czechia location on a Hybrid work schedule.
As an Advanced Human Factors Scientist here at Honeywell, you will be at the forefront of innovation, driving the development of cutting-edge technologies and solutions. You will collaborate with engineers, designers, and operators to ensure that aircraft cockpits, control systems, and other interfaces are user-friendly and aligned with human capabilities and limitations. You will be able to explore how automation in aircraft systems affects human operators, ensuring that automated systems complement rather than hinder human performance. You will impact the future by Leading and participating in research projects aimed at understanding human behavior in aviation contexts and improving human performance.
Responsibilities
- Developing human-centered systems to reduce errors and enhance performance.
- Testing and refining interface designs through simulations and user feedback.
- Investigating how pilots and crew interact with automated systems, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Designing human-autonomy interaction models to enhance teamwork between humans and automated systems.
- Ensuring that automation increases safety without diminishing human situational awareness or decision-making ability.
- Conducting studies to identify the relationship between fatigue and human performance.
- Conducting empirical research on human-machine interaction, decision-making, and operational performance in aviation.
- Collaborating with academic and industry partners to explore innovative solutions to human factors challenges.
- Publishing findings in scientific journals and presenting at conferences.

Qualifications
- University degree
- Good knowledge of Human Factors and Human Computer Interaction
- Ability to understand regulations
- UI design tools experience
