Position Summary:

Develops, creates, executes and leads Design Verification Plans (DVP) and problem solving of new technologies and applications. Works with design group, project leaders, and test assets in a matrixed organization to drive successful project outcomes. 

Position Responsibilities:

• Development of metrics, test methods, procedures, data capture, and reports for new products
• Contributes to testing by identifying component/product/vehicle performance issues based on analytical data
• Develops system/platform DVPs and decides Pass/Fail on testing
• Continuous improvement of the DVP process
• Creates custom test setups for complex projects
• Prepares recommendation for individual test priorities within the group
• Manages project with limited oversight from management
• Makes recommendations on technical direction
• Will be required to conduct testing in addition to advising and leading training activities for peers 
• Manages 10 to 15 projects concurrently, handling complex technology developments and difficult customer interactions

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

• Proficient PC skills required: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, 3D modeling 
• Ability to use Matlab, VB, ladder logic, C++ Java, or any other programming language that would benefit data processing and analysis.
• Strong reasoning skills and the ability to understand technical risks
• Understands the market and can successfully operate segment vehicles
• Ability to bring fresh ideas to improve company innovation and profitability

Position Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience: 

5+ years of relevant experience with either suspension damper development, power sports industry, or automotive industry preferred

Experience with setting up new test equipment/machines preferred

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Office/Test Lab Environment

Ability to sit for long periods of time

Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer

May lift up to 50 lbs. 

Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time

Compensation Range$111,617 - $153,473

The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Fox reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
