Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Mechanical Test Development Engineer located onsite in Austin, TX

What a typical day looks like:

  • Design and develop test plans, procedures, and specifications for mechanical components and systems.
  • Conduct testing to evaluate the performance, reliability, and durability of products.
  • Analyze test data and prepare detailed reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure product compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues during testing and provide solutions to improve product performance.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in testing technologies.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical testing, product development, or a related field.
  • Must have experience designing electromechanical fixtures
  • Proficiency in using testing equipment and software for data analysis.
  • PCB or high level fixturing experience
  • Previous experience creating both 2D and 3D design
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical testing (automotive, medical, aerospace)
  • Experience with CAD software (or similar) and simulation tools is a plus.
