Essential

  • 12+ years of experience in IT with exposure of leading medium to large projects from testing perspective.
  • Self-starter, motivated quality lead with a vision to drive team towards efficient and effective testing practices.
  • Extensive exposure on Client handling and interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge in card domain and previous experience in card domain is mandatory.
  • Knowledge on Testing frameworks and driving Test automation is mandatory.
  • Hands on experience on practicing Agile/ Iterative and be able to further support it within the team is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of SQL queries
  • Strong Experience in testing real-time transaction processing systems using SoapUI, groovy scripting, JMeter, Blaze meter
  • Sound knowledge on tools like HP ALM & Rally is mandatory.
  • Exposure on Cloud computing is mandatory
  • Exposure to any programming tool like Selenium, Groovy script, Shell scripting, Python etc. is desirable.
  • Exposure on Source Code Management tools e.g. TFS, Git, GitHub, Bitbucket
  • Experience in CI & CD environment setup/maintenance is desirable
  • Understanding of non-functional testing like performance and security
  • Understanding of Unit, Unit Integration Testing and testing tools like TestNg, Junit is desirable
  • Proficient in effort estimation and optimization techniques
  • Highly skilled in risk identification & mitigation
  • Aware of Application architecture, System Architecture, code structure and offer Quality perspective on those areas.

  • Work closely within QA&TS test team, development team and architects to ensure a robust strategy is in place.
  • Ensure participation of testers in ALL steps of the development life cycle and remain accountable for producing high-quality documents / test results.
  • Interaction with internal and external stakeholders for project related tasks
  • Implements overall test strategy for multiple, complex system solutions ensuring that test approach follows recognized testing standards and methodologies. Initiates and implements quality improvement activities as appropriate to improve testing performance and efficiency.
  • Manage and ensure internal and external customer expectations are met from work delivery standpoint
  • Follow TSYS policies and procedure, product and development methodologies. Technologies used for product delivery.
  • Look for and suggest process improvements and continuous quality measures across the development lifecycle. Collaborate with other SMEs/ Leads/ test engineers to implement these where possible.
  • Provide domain and technical guidance to the test team from both manual as well as automation perspective and ensure team members are trained in all areas.
  • Prepare and ensure that QA KPIs meet the targets e.g. Productivity, Incident Acceptance etc.
  • Keep track of industry trends & technologies and identify areas of implementation within the team.
  • Works as a self-starter and prefers to complete responsibilities with less supervision.
  • Demonstrate a strong positive 'CAN-DO" attitude with a strong focus on results and delivery.
  • Contribute to Test Framework and maintain existing frameworks by ensuring highest automation coverage in the projects
  • Encourage share ownership
