We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Automation Team Leader to join our dynamic and innovative software development team with a direct reporting line to Team Manager. The Test Automation Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of test automation engineers in developing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing solutions within the Test Factory. The role requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of test automation frameworks and tools
What you’ll do:
Leadership and Team Management

You will lead, mentor, and manage a team of test automation engineers.

You will provide guidance and support to team members in designing and implementing automated test scripts in agreement with Test Automation Tech Lead

You will conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Test Automation Strategy
-
You will define and implement the test automation strategy for the Test Factory.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for test automation and prioritize automation efforts.

You will ensure alignment of test automation initiatives with overall testing objectives and goals.
Test Execution and Reporting
-
You will oversee the execution of automated test scripts and analyze test results.
-
You will report test automation progress, issues, and risks to the Lead Architects / Team Manager.

You will implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of test automation processes.

Regular reporting on issues found during testing activities and their resolution so that Team Manager /Lead Architects can take corrective actions if needed.

Provide accurate and timely estimates for testing tasks to increase team productivity, satisfaction, and delivery.
Collaboration and Communication

You will collaborate with development, QA, and other teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Providing feedback and suggestions to the developers on how they can improve their product based on experience like QA Lead

You will collaborate with Test Automation Tech Lead to increase the code quality of the projects, the technical skills of the team members and any technical aspects that can provide a benefit for the whole team

You will communicate effectively with Team Manager /Lead Architects to provide updates on test automation activities and results.

You will foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the team.
Test Development support on Test Automation team activities

If needed, you will provide support on the development phase for test automation and performance test activities in order to help the whole team to reach the projects target

Stay up-to-date with industry trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest automation testing tools, technologies, and best practices to ensure that testing activities are efficient and effective.
Who you are:

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

You have a minimum of 2 years of experience as test automation developed.
-
You have a minimum of 2 years of experience as test automation manager/test manager.
-
You have a strong proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, etc.
-
You have experience with programming languages like Java, Python, or others.
-
You have excellent multitasking skills, prioritization, and effective time management skills.
-
You possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-
You can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferably, you also have:

You have an experience on performance testing activities.
-
You have an experience with performance testing tools like Jmeter, Load Runner, K6, etc.

Certifications in performance testing.

Certifications in test automation or related areas.

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices

Knowledge of Italian language
-
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.
