Test Automation Specialist

We are looking for a Test Automation Specialist based in Denmark who wants to raise the quality bar across our delivery teams, combining hands-on test work with the influence to shape practices, tooling, and standards in a complex business domain.

About the role

In Solution Development Claims, we build and operate the technology that powers claim handling at scale. As our delivery setup matures, we are moving quality from “a phase at the end” to a continuous capability embedded in how teams design, develop, and release.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Nordics and our offshore delivery centre in Manila, contributing to a setup where business value and technical quality go hand in hand.

What you are going to do:

• Design and implement automated tests across functional and non-functional areas (API, UI, integration, regression, performance)
• Build and evolve test frameworks, templates, and reusable components that scale across our squads
• Work closely with squads and tech leads, providing hands-on support to strengthen their quality engineering setup
• Establish and improve quality telemetry (test coverage, defect trends, release stability) to generate actionable insights
• Participate in cross squad QA Community of Practice
• Coach and enable colleagues to take ownership of quality in their daily work

About the team

Solution Development Claims is a large department responsible for the technology platform behind our claims handling. Although we are a sizeable organisation, we work in an agile Tribe setup with squads distributed across the Nordics, giving teams the ownership and autonomy to deliver while staying aligned on shared goals.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who combines deep hands-on test automation skills with the drive to lift quality practices across teams. We expect you to bring:

• Strong experience in test automation and quality engineering, ideally from a complex business domain such as insurance or financial services
• Hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Selenium, Fitnesse and similar)
• Experience setting up and working with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins or similar)
• Strong programming experience in Java
• Experience working in a scaled agile setup with Tribes, Squads, and Big Room Planning (or similar)
• Curiosity towards modern engineering approaches and emerging technologies
• A mindset that sees quality as a continuous journey, not just a testing phase
• Enjoyment in coaching and enabling teams to improve their quality practices
• Comfort working in cross-functional and distributed teams across multiple locations
• Good/excellent level of English for daily collaboration with colleagues in other countries
• Knowledge of insurance-based platforms like Guidewire is also an advantage.
