Job Description:

  • Reviews stories, business requirements and provides comments on accuracy and completeness.
  • Contributes to the identification and assessment of risks and exposures.
  • Attends Agile ceremonies and understands application and system designs at a basic level.
  • Develops and maintains test situations/scenarios for simple to medium complexity functions.
  • Designs and creates test case documentation including test situations, data setup, execution steps and expected results.
  • Interacts with scrum master, product owner, business analysts/developers and other project team members while developing expected results and verifying results.
  • Executes test cases or automated test scripts for various types of testing including function, conversion, integration, intersystem, platform, parallel, stress or regression.
  • Logs and manages all defects until they are closed, approved or deferred (e.g. use of QTEST, JIRA, TIR Log).
  • Provides regular status updates to Lead Quality Engineer or Project Manager including any known issues or test concerns.
  • Provides input or completes Test Report.
  • Maintains clear communication with Lead Quality Engineer.
  • Able to work flexible hours and weekends as required.
  • Participates in lessons learned and/or retrospective
  • Designs and implements a self-development plan.
