We’re looking for an Executive Territory Manager – Mako & Enabling Technologies to join our Mako Robotics division, leading a portfolio that includes the Mako SmartRobotics™ system and its advanced applications in total knee, partial knee, and total hip procedures.
These robotic-assisted solutions are designed to enhance surgical precision, improve patient outcomes, and support surgeons with data-driven insights throughout the operative workflow. In this role, you’ll operate as a senior commercial partner, working with hospitals and surgeons to drive adoption, lead complex sales cycles, and embed cutting-edge robotic technologies that elevate orthopaedic care and enable consistently exceptional results.

This is a national role, covering hospitals and healthcare facilities across both the North and South Islands of New Zealand.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute a high-impact, strategic territory plan to exceed revenue and growth targets
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, including capital equipment procurement and long-term partnership agreements
- Identify, prioritise, and convert new business opportunities to expand market share and drive sustained growth
- Build and influence senior relationships with surgeons, nurses, theatre managers, biomedical engineers, procurement teams and hospital C-Suite
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, positioning Stryker as a long-term partner in robotic surgery transformation
- Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation, adoption, and ongoing customer success
- Deliver advanced product demonstrations, education programs, and clinical training to support utilisation and outcomes
- Provide expert-level post-sale support, ensuring high engagement, utilisation, and customer satisfaction
Who You Are
Minimum Requirements
- Proven success in medical sales with a track record of exceeding targets in complex or capital environments (5–7+ years)
- Demonstrated ability to lead sophisticated sales processes and influence senior stakeholders
- Highly developed communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and persuade diverse audiences
- Strong commercial acumen with a strategic mindset and the ability to analyse and act on market insights
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the NZ healthcare system and medical sales landscape
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across New Zealand
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Health, Business, Nursing, Engineering, or related field
