The Territory Manager is responsible for developing new and existing broker partnerships, driving sales, and growing market penetration and brand awareness across an assigned region in Canada. This role builds broker understanding of Hagerty's products through face-to-face meetings, telephone contact, and group presentations, while also developing and executing annual business plans with key broker partners. The Territory Manager identifies and expands relationships with centers of influence — including local automotive clubs, events, and organizations — while establishing recognition as a subject matter expert on collector automobiles within the region. Regular reporting on sales performance, funnel activity, profitability, and industry challenges is delivered to key business stakeholders on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

What you’ll do

  • Develop new and existing broker partnerships, drive sales as well as increase market penetration and awareness within Canada
  • Frequent travel is required to sell and present Hagerty products to brokers, and attend local marketing activities such as car shows, club activities and individual relationship building
  • Build partner awareness and understanding of Hagerty’s products through a variety of contacts including face to face and telephone contact and group presentations
  • Attend regional industry events and activations
  • Become widely recognized as the SME on Collector Automobiles in a given region, which drive engagement and sales success
  • Develop and execute annual business plans with key broker partners within a specific region
  • Increase Hagerty Brand Awareness in assigned region
  • Identify, connect and expand relationships with COI's which include local automotive events, clubs, organizations and large collections
  • Deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly updates to key business stakeholders which focus on sales success, funnel activity, profitability, recent wins, and industry challenges

  • Diploma or associate’s degree in business or related field
  • Proven experience with project management
  • Personal Lines Insurance License
  • Proven outside sales experience
  • Ability to travel on a daily/weekly basis, which can include evenings and weekends
  • Proficient user of MS Office products: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Valid Driver’s License and good standing driving record
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Self-starter who is comfortable taking initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a high level of customer service
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize

Other things to note

  • This position will be worked from a remote home office and may require road time to visit brokers or attend broker conferences.
  • Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
