The Opportunity
The Department of Mathematics, Science, and Technology at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide invites applications for a research-active colleague with a background in applied mathematical or physical science who incorporates modern methods, such as physics or engineering informed machine learning, into their work.
We seek a candidate who can teach a range of courses (for example mathematics, statistics, or data science / computer science) while contributing to interdisciplinary research initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with faculty in the department and across colleges and campuses to advance research in our signature areas. With the recent growth of ERAU-WW engineering programs, the department also anticipates an increased demand for expertise being applied to engineering, such as engineering informed machine learning.
** Please note that this a US-based remote role and moderate travel is required for mandatory College meetings/events, and for scholastic activities (e.g., conference presentations).

Qualifications
Required Education and Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, or a closely related field.
- At least 18 graduate-level credit hours in one of the following disciplines: Mathematics, Statistics, or Physical Science.
- Evidence of, or demonstrated potential towards, a strong research agenda in a core focus area, but with interest in fostering collaborations across disciplines within and beyond the department.
- This is a remote position and requires that candidates reside in the United States.
