【TENG2102】Cloud Engineer - DBA (DBRE)

【About the Role】 在 SHOPLINE，資料庫不只是「維護」，而是要當成一個需要被工程化、自動化、可觀測的可靠系統來經營。我們的服務建構在 AWS 雲端之上，資料庫採用雲端託管服務與自建環境並行的混合架構，技術上會接觸到 AWS、MongoDB、NewSQL、Kubernetes、Terraform 等。身為 DBA / DBRE，你會和架構師、後端工程師、Cloud 團隊一起，確保我們電商 SaaS 平台在高流量、跨市場環境下的資料庫穩定、安全且可擴展，並透過 IaC 與監控把重複性的維運工作自動化掉。 【What you'll be doing】 - Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of databases through proper design, implementation, and maintenance. (~30%) - Manage and deliver database infrastructure with Terraform / IaC, making changes version-controlled, reproducible, and reviewable. - Design and operate highly available architectures; own capacity planning, backup/restore, and disaster recovery (DR) drills to safeguard data and service continuity. - Support multi-region / cross-market database architectures, scaling and optimizing as the business grows. - Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, query optimization, and slow-query analysis. (~25%) - Collaborate with architects and software engineers to integrate database solutions into the application architecture. (~20%) - Take ownership of database-related tasks and features, ensuring their timely and successful completion. - Establish monitoring and alerting to proactively identify and resolve issues. - Participate in production incident handling, debugging, and root cause analysis, delivering effective solutions. - Explore and adopt AI / LLM for database operations (e.g., intelligent diagnostics, query optimization suggestions, incident root cause analysis, operational automation), turning them into tools the team actually uses. - Document processes, configurations, and runbooks for reference and future maintenance. - 透過適當的資料庫設計、建置與維護，確保資料庫的完整性、安全性與可用性。（約 30%） - 以 Terraform / IaC 管理與交付資料庫基礎設施，讓變更可版控、可重現、可審查。 - 設計並維運高可用架構，負責容量規劃、備份／還原與災難復原（DR）演練，保障資料不遺失、服務不中斷。 - 支援多區域／跨市場的資料庫架構，隨業務成長進行擴展與優化。 - 進行效能調校：索引設計、查詢優化、慢查詢分析等。（約 25%） - 與架構師及軟體工程師協作，將資料庫方案整合進應用架構。（約 20%） - 對負責的資料庫任務與功能負起 ownership，把事情確實完成到位。 - 建立監控與告警，主動發現並處理問題。 - 參與線上事故處理，進行除錯與 root cause 分析，提出有效解法。 - 探索並導入 AI／LLM 於資料庫維運（如智慧診斷、查詢優化建議、事故根因分析、維運自動化），把它變成團隊真正用得上的工具。 - 撰寫流程、設定與 runbook 文件，方便團隊參考與後續維護。 【Who we are looking for】 - Solid hands-on experience operating databases in production (DBA / DBRE / database-focused SRE all welcome). - A degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Electronic Engineering, Information Engineering, or related fields — or equivalent practical ability (including but not limited to these majors). - Hands-on MongoDB operations experience (any architecture). - Comfortable operating and optimizing at least one database. - Familiarity with query optimization and troubleshooting techniques. - Comfortable with Linux / bash shell. - Able to take ownership, with strong attention to detail, and see things through to completion. - A lifelong learner who picks up new technologies quickly. - 具備紮實的資料庫維運實戰經驗（DBA / DBRE / 偏資料庫的 SRE 皆可）。 - 包含但不限於資工 / 資管 / 電機 / 資訊相關科系，或具備同等實務能力。 - 具備 MongoDB 維運經驗（架構不限）。 - 至少熟悉一種資料庫的維運與優化。 - 熟悉查詢優化與問題排查技巧。 - 熟悉 Linux / bash shell 操作。 - 能對任務負責、注重細節、把事情完成。 - 願意持續學習、能快速上手新技術。 【It'd be a plus if you have】 - In-depth experience with a second database; NewSQL is a plus. - Hands-on Terraform / IaC experience. - Hands-on experience using Kubernetes (K8s). - Experience operating cloud managed services. - Interest or hands-on experience using AI / LLM to assist database operations. - MongoDB Associate DBA certification. - Experience building or maintaining e-commerce platforms or high-traffic SaaS. - Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment. - 具備第二種資料庫的深入經驗，NewSQL 尤佳。 - Terraform / IaC 實務經驗。 - 具備 Kubernetes (K8s) 使用經驗尤佳。 - 具備雲端託管服務（managed services）的維運經驗尤佳。 - 對以 AI／LLM 輔助資料庫維運有興趣或實作經驗者尤佳。 - MongoDB Associate DBA 認證。 - 曾參與電商平台或高流量 SaaS 的建置與維運。 - 在快速成長的新創環境工作過。 【Traits we value】 - 細心（這是必備）：DBA 的小疏忽往往是大事故。 - 情緒穩定：面對線上事故能冷靜、有條理地處理。 - 好奇心與聯想力：對系統運作有興趣，能舉一反三、預想潛在風險。 - 主動溝通：在團隊中願意表達想法、提出意見。 - 凡事求證：遇到問題習慣回到官方文件找答案。 - 重視知識傳承：習慣把設定、決策與事故處理寫成文件，而不是只存在腦袋裡。
