Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)
- Lead the day-to-day management and growth of an East Coast account portfolio, with a primary focus on assigned Luxury Retail & Jewelry clients.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key client and agency partners, serving as a trusted point of contact throughout the coverage period.
- Drive revenue opportunities by understanding client priorities and developing thoughtful solutions across Hearst Magazines’ portfolio and capabilities.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, outreach, and relationship development across assigned accounts.
- Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of prospective opportunities while strategically advancing conversations toward revenue.
- Develop opportunities spanning digital, social, programmatic, co-branded content, and other relevant advertising solutions.
- Partner closely with internal teams to manage pre- and post-sale execution, ensuring programs are delivered effectively and client expectations are met.
- Maintain timely, accurate communication and account activity while effectively managing multiple priorities, deadlines, meetings, and client needs.
Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)
- 5+ years of relevant sales, advertising, media, account management, or business development experience, with Luxury Retail experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and grow client relationships while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of digital, social, programmatic, and co-branded content solutions; familiarity with affiliate marketing is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build credibility and productive relationships with clients and internal partners.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial approach to sales, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of opportunities from prospecting through execution.
- Strong organizational skills and follow-through, with the ability to effectively manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the territory as needed for client meetings and appointments.
- This role is based in New York City and requires working in the office four days per week.
The pay rate for this temporary role is $75 per hour. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
