The Telematics Lead is responsible for overseeing the deployment, monitoring, optimization, and continuous improvement of the company’s telematics systems across the vehicle fleet. The role ensures reliable installation, configuration, and maintenance of telematics hardware and software while leveraging data insights to improve fleet efficiency, reduce downtime, and support operational decision-making.
The role holder will actively monitor telematics dashboards, analyse large volumes of fleet data, proactively identify risks and performance issues, and collaborate with internal teams to support recovery operations when incidents occur.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation and configuration of telematics devices and software on

- Conduct research on emerging telematics technologies, industry best practices,
- and regulatory requirements, contributing valuable insights to our strategic
- planning and decision-making processes.
- Dig into new tech and industry trends, helping us stay ahead of the curve.
- Handle large volumes of Telematics data and analyse trends, highlight issues, manage situations and assist recovery operations where needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of B.Sc or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Proven experience working with telematics systems, fleet management platforms, or vehicle tracking solutions.
Strong understanding of telematics devices, GPS tracking, sensors, and vehicle data systems.
Proficiency in dashboard monitoring and data visualization tools.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to ensure system uptime and reliability.
Ability to support incident response and recovery operations using real-time telematics insights.
Prior experience in a mobility, logistics, transportation, or asset-heavy environment is highly desirable.
