Why is this role important at Infobip?

Purpose of the Product Engineer function is to contribute to revenue optimization and achieving/maintaining high partner (MNO) satisfaction by providing consultancy and support for ongoing and future monetization projects. Before commercial launch, a project team provides insights based on their knowledge of competitors, market, and A2P fraud scenarios. After a commercial launch of a project, Product Engineers attend requests from internal and external stakeholders and ensure each project's full monetization potential. Quality service is a top priority.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of active firewall installations: monitoring the operation of worldwide deployments and by analyzing traffic discovering gray routes and unwanted traffic.

  • Support and advising services:  act as an advisor for the operators who already have a filtering solution in place and preparing reports with traffic analysis for them.

  • Improving firewall solution: detecting and reporting system bugs noted while performing daily tasks, suggesting new features and possible improvements for product, support new ideas with analysis and calculation about raising product profitability.

  • Deployment reporting: composing a report with current network state overview, tests results and suggestion of next steps to internal stakeholders.

  • Operator education: as the firewall solution is deployed the team is the one educating the operators on how to use it.

  • Attending internal queries and new opportunities overview: working closely with many internal technical and business teams, providing feedback and reporting on existing and future firewall projects, etc.

  • Following industry trends: staying updated on industry trends, emerging threats, and advancements in SMS security technologies.

Qualifications

  • You have relevant working experience of 3+ years in IT/Telecom industry, or providers for mobile operators (Carriers)

  • You have a passion for IT, technology and Telecommunications

  • You have great communication skills

  • You are proficient in MS Office

  • You are eager to learn new things and new ways of tackling challenges

  • You are fluent in English, both spoken and written

  • Competent in working with figures and spreadsheets

  • Understanding of the SMS business and Telecommunications is an advantage

  • Previous experience in solving customers' escalations is an advantage
