Job Description:
As a Technology Support II - Market Data Distributed Support in our dynamic team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and support of market data systems and services. You will provide technical assistance to users, maintain data integrity and accuracy, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This role provides an opportunity to deepen your understanding of financial markets, enhance your problem-solving skills, and work with a variety of market data platforms and technologies.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support market data systems to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to market data feeds, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address and resolve data discrepancies and outages.
  • Maintain and update market data configurations, entitlements, and permissions.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new data sources and the integration of market data into various platforms.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users on market data tools and applications.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for market data processes, procedures, and support activities.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in market data technologies and services.
  • Participate in projects related to market data enhancements and system upgrades.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 2 years of experience in market data support or a similar role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and market data products.
  • Proficiency in market data platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar.
  • Experience with data feed technologies and protocols (e.g., FIX, API).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for data analysis and automation.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data services and platforms.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to market data usage and distribution.
  • Experience of Market Data Technologies - RMDS/TREP, DACS entitlements, Bloomberg BPIPE, Solace
  • Market Data feeds and content (direct exchange and aggregated)
  • Programming Languages - UNIX/Shell, Python, Java
  • Storage Filesystems
  • Experience of using monitoring/forensic tools (e.g. ITRS Geneos)
  • Network Technologies - IP (TCP/UDP/MCAST), Switch and routing topologies
  • Operating Systems - Linux (RedHat) System Administration
  • Experience of Software Development Lifecycle
  • Cloud computing (AWS)
  • Experience on Market data APIs
