This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Troubadour Golf & Field Club set outside of Nashville, Tennessee.Troubadour Golf and Field Club, Nashville TN, is seeking a part-time, year-round, onsite, Technology Specialist to join the IT Department
As a Technology Specialist for Troubadour Golf and Field Club, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to internal users, ensuring the efficient operation of computer systems, networks, and software applications across property. You will be able to assist with overseeing the implementation, configuration, updating, and maintenance of IT systems and components.
***Part-time hourly role. Starting $22 per hour.***
Key Responsibilities
- Assists company staff with technical support of desktop computers, applications, server system and related technology.
- Support includes specification, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines.
- Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems.
- Assists the IT Manager and gains progressive responsibilities relating to the company’s IT infrastructure over time.
- Provides technical support to the operation of technology systems for Troubadour
- Provides hardware/software support to both local and remote users and is available to troubleshoot via phone as needed.
- Assists staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop and laptops, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
- Shows competence to train staff on hardware and software gaps
- Keeps track of open tasks and closed tasks within ticket system (FreshDesk)
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in IT support, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with Freshdesk Support, CrowdStrike, and N-Able would be nice, but not required, can train
- Experience with Meraki, Cisco, and Hyper-V would be nice, but not required, can train
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other commonly used business applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge cabling and patching is preferred
- Strong knowledge of audio and video installation and troubleshooting is a huge plus

- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length.
