Description

The Technology Specialist provides advanced application development and system support for RPITMS. This role is responsible for developing, enhancing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Microsoft Power Platform solutions and SharePoint-based business applications supporting critical Navy research protection operations.

The Technology Specialist works closely with technical leadership and Government stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesApplication Development
  • Design and develop applications utilizing Microsoft Power Platform technologies. 
  • Configure and customize SharePoint Online solutions. 
  • Develop automated workflows and business process solutions. 
  • Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI. 
System Maintenance & Enhancement
  • Troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions. 
  • Analyze system performance and identify improvement opportunities. 
  • Support implementation of approved system enhancements and upgrades. 
  • Maintain technical documentation. 
Requirements Analysis
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements. 
  • Analyze existing processes and recommend automation opportunities. 
  • Assist in development of technical specifications and system designs. 
User Support
  • Assist with issue resolution and help desk support. 
  • Support deployment activities and user acceptance testing. 
  • Participate in training and knowledge transfer activities.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of experience developing and supporting management information systems. 
  • Experience developing, testing, and troubleshooting Microsoft Power Platform applications. 
  • Experience with SharePoint Online. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree. 
  • Microsoft Power Platform certification. 
  • Experience supporting Navy or DoD systems. 
  • Experience with federal compliance and governance environments.

Skills Required
