About this opportunity:
Ericsson's Business Area Cloud Software & Services (BCSS) is at the forefront of the convergence of cloud and telecommunications. As our customers accelerate their 5G deployments, BCSS is driving the transformation toward cloud-native software and services enabling communication service providers (CSPs) to optimize complex networks, move faster, and deliver more competitive offerings to their customers.
We are looking for an AI/GenAI Solution Architect to join this mission. In this high-impact role, you will shape the future of AI-driven solutions in the telecom space from early-stage prototyping through to enterprise-scale deployment. You will work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and real customer challenges, partnering with both internal teams and external stakeholders to drive innovation that matters.
What you will do:
- Lead the exploration, design, and development of AI and Generative AI prototypes tailored to CSP use cases and business challenges
- Translate complex customer pain points into scalable, high-impact AI-driven solution architectures
- Drive end-to-end solution design, including architecture definition, technology selection, and seamless integration with telecom systems
- Actively support pre-sales engagements, including solution positioning, technical demonstrations, and presentations to both internal stakeholders and external customers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate innovation and reduce time-to-market for AI solutions
- Stay at the leading edge of developments in AI, GenAI, and telecom technologies and apply those insights to real-world use cases
The skills you bring:
- 15 years of experience in IT or telecom, with strong exposure to telecom products and CSP ecosystems
- Proven hands-on experience in AI/ML and Generative AI, including building prototypes or accelerators
- Solid understanding of telecom architecture, including OSS/BSS and network domains
- Deep expertise in solution architecture and system design for enterprise-scale deployments
- Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles such as pre-sales, solution consulting, or technical advisory
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills able to translate technical complexity for both executive and engineering audiences
It is an advantage If you have:
- Prior experience working with leading telecom organizations or similar ecosystems
- Exposure to cloud platforms, data platforms, and AI frameworks
- A strong leadership mindset with a track record of mentoring teams and driving strategic initiatives
- Familiarity with Ericsson's portfolio or equivalent vendor environments
