Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensures safety including conducting regular meetings and area safety reviews.
- Writes and delivers performance evaluations.
- Ensures formulation accuracy.
- Administers project assignments and follow ups.
- Provides leadership and direction to direct reports to ensure priorities and overall business objectives are accomplished on time and at minimal cost.
- Assists technologist with real time lab tests.
- Ensures consistency in project data collection by technologists.
- Ensures safe operating procedures are in place and up-to-date for all process equipment.
- Coordinates training for new employees and cross training for existing employees.
- Ensures all communications reach all employees.
- Responsible for handling, loading, unloading hazardous materials and preparing hazardous materials for shipment. Will be required to undergo annual training related to hazardous material handling.

- Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses and shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc.
- Work is inside and the typical noise level is loud. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
- Assisting in database development by operating software for color design,
• Leading color designers and developing the system and the team of colorists,
• Leading conference calls with EU and MEA partners on behalf of the Gebze laboratory, when necessary,
• Entering developed formulas into SAP and coordinating with the production department regarding manufacturability,
• Overseeing and arranging the calibration of equipment,
• Evaluating and reporting analysis results,
• Playing an active role in accreditation and licensing audits,
• Working in compliance with quality management systems,
• Prioritizing laboratory hygiene,
• Adhering to occupational health and safety regulations.
• Bachelor degree from related departments such as Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Polymer Science, or Textile Engineering,
• Possessing 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in paint, compounding, chemical, or food companies, or in analytical laboratories,
• Experienced in chromatographic analysis and the use of standard analytical laboratory equipment (IR, UV/VIS, DSC, TGA),
• Preferably skilled in reading and interpreting spectrophotometer data,
• Proficient in English,
• Knowledgeable in method verification and measurement uncertainty; experienced in writing SOPs,
• Proficient in MS Office programs,
• Aptitude for teamwork and strong communication skills,
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities,
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Polymer Science, Textile Engineering, or a related field
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in paint, compounding, chemical, food, or analytical laboratory environments
- Experience with chromatographic analysis and standard analytical laboratory equipment, including IR, UV/VIS, DSC, and TGA
- Proficiency in English
- Knowledge of method verification and measurement uncertainty
- Experience writing standard operating procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Teamwork and strong communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Skill in reading and interpreting spectrophotometer data
