Technology Engineer - PostGre SQL

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technology Engineer with deep expertise in SQL Server and Redis VectorDB to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record in large-scale enterprise environments, particularly within the banking or financial sector, and should be adept at managing complex database ecosystems while automating routine tasks through modern DevOps practices.

• Support and manage SQL Server database environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Administer Redis Enterprise including configuration, performance tuning, high availability, and Vector Search capabilities.
• Design and implement robust High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions including Always-On Availability Groups, Distributed AGs, replication, and mirroring.
• Perform SQL Server clustering, upgrades (in-place and side-by-side), and maintenance with minimal downtime.
• Optimize database performance using industry best practices, monitoring tools, and tuning methodologies.
• Execute secure and efficient backup and restore strategies, manage recovery models and disaster preparedness.
• Plan and execute complex database migrations across platforms and versions.
• Deploy Redis Enterprise on container platforms such as OpenShift, and manage modules like Redis Search and Vector Indexing.
• Implement Redis Active-Active architecture, Auto Tiering, and FlexDB setups.
• Secure database environments using auditing, TLS encryption, and access control best practices.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, ArgoCD, and scripting in PowerShell or Bash.
• Work collaboratively with infrastructure and application teams across multiple concurrent projects.
• Occasionally support out-of-hours deployments or incident management during weekends or evenings when necessary.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in enterprise-level IT organizations.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL Server database administration (SQL Server 2016 and above).
• Expertise in performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, clustering, and database migrations.
• Proficient in Redis Enterprise, including advanced features such as Redis VectorDB, Redis Search, and Redis Active-Active.
• Solid understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V.
• Proficient in scripting using PowerShell and/or Bash.
• Good knowledge of Windows, Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and CI/CD methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of automation and infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and Terraform.

• Professional certifications in SQL Server or Redis.
• Prior experience in the banking or financial services industry.
• Working knowledge of other database platforms.
• Familiarity with Python scripting and ArgoCD for automation workflows.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong communication skills with a professional demeanor.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Capable of working under pressure and within tight deadlines.
