As a Technology Engineer of within PNC’s Enterprise Technology organization. This position is based in either Phoenix, AZ or Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH or Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.
Support the MCM environment by providing:
• In-depth, expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Report Builder, and Power BI including complex query development for MCM reporting, collections and SQL troubleshooting.
• Extensive hands-on experience automating processes through scripting utilizing PowerShell, VB .net, VBScript and other automation tools.
• Expert knowledge with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MCM Current Branch) including experience with large multi-tiered infrastructures with a CAS, several redundant role servers and the components/logs for each.
• Expert understanding of MCM Client/Server operations including the client install and all Client Actions and logs as it pertains to operations on the client and their flow through the infrastructure all the way to the site database.
• Experience with architecting a MCM infrastructure in a large complex multi data center environment as it pertains to failover and Disaster Recovery needs for MCM site systems and role servers.
• MCM hardware/software inventory experience including additions and changes to the configuration.mof file.
• Thorough understanding of Active Directory; replication, Group Policy and DNS.
• Knowledge with Cloud computing, Entra ID, InTune, MCM Cloud Management Gateway, etc.
• Ability to write and maintain procedural and design documentation.
• Ability to provide technical leadership to project teams.
• Able to work effectively under deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to details.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.

Job Description

  • Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions. Assists with selecting appropriate platforms, integrates and configures solutions.
  • Develops software components and hardware for new and emerging technology projects; aligns these with business strategies and objectives.
  • May provide consultation on common issues and best practices for junior staff.
  • Provides a systematic analysis on client requirements within the traceability framework and resolves any functional problems encountered.
  • Ensures quality of project deliverables while maintaining compliance with relevant standards and processes.
