You will own the Technology strategy from development through execution and ongoing management, while leading the executive routines that drive it forward. In close partnership with the Head of Technology, you will set the strategic agenda and lead the management operating rhythm the Technology Leadership Team (TLT) relies on to align priorities, make decisions, and drive accountability.
You will oversee the end-to-end preparation, synthesis, and follow-through for Technology's most senior forums, including weekly TLT meetings, monthly CIO business reviews, and Technology's contribution to CEO-level business reviews. Just as importantly, you will translate strategy into clear priorities, measurable outcomes, and disciplined execution across a large, complex, global technology organization.
This is a highly visible role for a seasoned leader who can serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, frame complex decisions with clarity, challenge assumptions and performance data, and leverage modern tools, including generative AI, to make executive decision-making faster, sharper, and more insightful.
In this role, you will:
  • Own the development and ongoing management of the Technology strategy, leading the annual strategy cycle in partnership with the Head of Technology and Technology Leadership Team (TLT). Define strategic priorities, objectives, and success measures; align investment, workforce, and vendor plans to those priorities; and evolve the strategy as business, regulatory, and market conditions change
  • Lead the Technology executive operating rhythm, including weekly TLT meetings. Drive agenda development, executive pre-reads, leadership notes, decision and action tracking, and timely communication of key priorities and decisions across the broader Technology organization
  • Own the monthly CIO business review (BUR) process across Technology's CIO organizations, integrating perspectives across Finance, Program Delivery, Developer Productivity, Workforce, and Vendor Management. Prepare senior leaders with clear insights, challenge questions, reconciled performance data, and synthesis of cross-CIO themes, opportunities, dependencies, and risks
  • Lead Technology's contributions to CEO-level business reviews, partnering across Finance, Infrastructure, Data Center, Investment, and Program leadership to deliver an integrated, executive-ready view of financial plans, investments, performance, and strategic priorities
  • Translate Technology strategy into measurable execution, using executive routines to monitor progress against key priorities and metrics, assess program interdependencies, and frame complex decisions and trade-offs for executive leadership
  • Modernize executive reporting and decision support, moving from static presentations toward digital, data-driven business reviews and dashboards that surface actionable insights, emerging trends, and critical signals for leaders
  • Accelerate adoption of generative AI and automation, including Microsoft Copilot, within executive routines and across Technology Business Services teams. Develop reusable approaches, tools, and peer forums that improve productivity, consistency, and speed
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the Head of Technology, TLT members, and CIO chiefs of staff, anticipating issues, shaping executive agendas and communications, and ensuring disciplined follow-through on key priorities and decisions
  • Provide executive-level transparency and oversight through clear, concise reporting and presentations to senior leadership, executive committees, and regulatory bodies, as required
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Technology Business Services team, establishing clear objectives, coaching for growth, developing talent, and fostering a culture of trust, accountability, innovation, and transparency
  • Ensure strong risk, control, and governance discipline across executive routines, reporting, and materials, maintaining alignment with Wells Fargo risk, control, and data governance standards and appropriate handling of confidential information

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of Technology Business Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience

Desired Qualifications
  • Seasoned senior leader with progressively increasing responsibility leading strategy, chief of staff, or business management functions for a senior executive within a large, complex organization, including experience developing and managing multi-year enterprise or technology strategies
  • Demonstrated experience leading executive operating routines end to end, including leadership team meetings, business reviews, operating reviews, and executive or committee preparation
  • Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to interpret, reconcile, and challenge technology financials, investment plans, workforce data, and performance metrics
  • Exceptional executive communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise briefs, recommendations, presentations, and decision materials for C-suite audiences
  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and build trusted relationships across organizational levels and functions, including effectively driving outcomes without direct authority
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity, balance competing priorities, and deliver multiple high-stakes initiatives under tight timelines
  • Hands-on experience leveraging generative AI and automation, including tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Power Platform, to improve productivity, executive insights, and business processes
