Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Portfolio Architect with deep expertise in the Microsoft technology stack to lead architecture strategy, portfolio rationalization, and transformation initiatives across large-scale enterprise programs. At the Associate Director level, this ro:le combines hands-on architectural leadership, portfolio-level decision making, and stakeholder influence. You will work closely with CIO organizations, business leaders, and delivery teams to shape technology roadmaps, guide investment decisions, and ensure architectural coherence across a complex application landscape. Key Responsibilities Portfolio & Enterprise Architecture Own and govern the application and technology portfolio across multiple programs and business domains. Define target-state architectures, reference architectures, and transition roadmaps aligned with business strategy. Lead application rationalization, modernization, and cloud migration initiatives on the Microsoft stack. Ensure architectural consistency, scalability, security, and cost efficiency across the portfolio. Microsoft Technology Leadership Provide architectural leadership across Microsoft Azure, .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and related ecosystems. Drive adoption of cloud-native, microservices, event-driven, and API-first architectures using Azure services. Guide DevOps and platform strategy leveraging Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Bicep/Terraform). Establish best practices for security, identity, compliance, and governance using Azure-native controls. Stakeholder & Client Engagement Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, and enterprise architects. Translate business objectives into clear architectural outcomes and investment cases. Lead architecture reviews, steering committees, and design authority forums. Influence technology decisions across Accenture delivery teams and client organizations. Delivery Oversight & Quality Assurance Provide architectural oversight across multiple delivery teams and vendors. Review and approve solution designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and non-functional requirements. Identify and mitigate architecture, integration, scalability, and technical debt risks early. People & Practice Leadership Mentor and develop senior architects and technical leads within the account or practice. Contribute to architecture assets, accelerators, and reusable frameworks. Support business development through solution shaping, proposals, and estimations. Required Skills & Experience Core Experience 18+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years in enterprise or portfolio architecture roles. Proven experience managing large, complex application portfolios in enterprise environments. Strong background in Microsoft-centric enterprise solutions. Technical Expertise Deep hands-on and architectural experience with: o Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) o .NET / .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET o SQL Server, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB o Azure Integration Services (API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid) o Power Platform and Dynamics 365 (preferred) Strong understanding of: o Cloud-native design patterns o Microservices and distributed systems o Security, identity, and compliance in Azure o DevOps and automation practices Architecture & Leadership Experience defining enterprise architecture standards, principles, and governance models. Ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic execution. Strong communication and influencing skills at senior leadership levels. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor s or Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Microsoft certifications such as: o Azure Solutions Architect Expert o Azure Enterprise Architect (preferred) Experience working with global delivery models and large system integrators.15 years full time education
