Purpose:
The SAS Fraud management system design engineer will require to manage design and Architecture various SAS Fraud Management Features including Fraud Rule, Workflow and UI configurations and other tuning and enhancements aspects.
The candidate must be able to assist and play leading roles in production rollout.
Mange handovers to other build and testing teams.
The candidate would have proven experience of design and Architecture aspect of fraud management solutions for Tier 1 and 2 banks.
This is a hands-on role, and the successful candidate would be expected to assist the project team during the life cycle of the projects and other agile/BAU work.
JD - Fraud Risk – Design:
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions, ensuring alignment with functional and non‑functional requirements, enterprise architecture standards, design patterns, and the bank’s technology roadmap.
- Lead the end‑to‑end solution design and implementation for Channel‑to‑SAS SFM integration through approved middleware, in line with bank integration architecture principles.
- In-depth technical expertise in messaging and API‑based integrations to support accelerated implementation of SAS Fraud Management solutions, including case management and reporting capabilities.
- Promote open standards & cost effectiveness in support of organizational goals, objectives, and strategic requirements.
- Evaluate architecture patterns and emerging trends to recommend best‑fit solutions in compliance with the enterprise architecture governance framework.
- Understand the long term and short-term perspective of a solution along with assessing and analyzing the wide enterprise impact of the solution.
- Provide technical consultancy to different IT and business stakeholders in technology best practices and problem analysis in technology solutions.
- Maximize reuse of existing technology platforms and integration capabilities to meet business and fraud risk requirements.
- Ensure regulatory and audit requirements are attended and addressed as part of solution design and implementations.
- Ensure the solutions and their implementations aligned with Risk & Compliance requirements and business continuity practices.
- Experienced in development lifecycle and different software development technology, frameworks, and design standards.
- Evaluate third‑party and vendor solutions, assessing their suitability within the bank’s ecosystem, architecture standards, and technology roadmap.
- Analyze and resolve technical, functional, performance, and security issues, proposing robust and scalable solutions.
- expertise in end‑to‑end connectivity, data flow analysis, and integration troubleshooting across channels, middleware, and SAS FM platforms.
- Collaborate closely with delivery and support teams to ensure effective knowledge transfer and build a self‑sustaining BAU support model.
- Drive accelerated delivery while balancing technical quality and business value, minimizing delivery and operational risks.
- Ability to manage and deliver multiple regulatory and enhancement initiatives in parallel within a high‑pressure environment, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining solution quality, architectural integrity, and design standards.
Qualification & Skills:
- The candidate should possess either a graduate engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent understanding of SAS Fraud Management with a desire to implement new solutions for the bank.
- Candidate must be technically astute and have had exposure to databases, scripting and technical interfacing capabilities using various tools / languages.
- Should have ability to work independently and within a team, and capable of timely delivery.
- Candidate must display strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Experience in SAS Fraud management solution implementation in multiple geographical regions.
- Proven ability in leading the build and operation of complex fraud technology systems.
Minimum Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Build Engineer working in SAS Fraud Risk Solution. Minimum overall experience as SAS SFM SME should be 10 years with latest experience in SAS SFM not being older than 2 years.
Skills Required
- Graduate engineering degree or equivalent
- Excellent understanding of SAS Fraud Management / SAS SFM
- Minimum 5 years as a Build Engineer working in SAS Fraud Risk Solution
- Minimum 10 years overall experience as SAS SFM SME with recent SAS SFM experience within last 2 years
- Experience implementing SAS Fraud Management solutions across multiple regions
- Exposure to databases, scripting, and technical interfacing capabilities
- Proven ability to lead build and operation of complex fraud technology systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
