Job Description

Advanced Technology Lab is the corporate-level research lab tasked with

a) identifying,

b) assessing,

c) developing,

d) transitioning advanced industrial automation and information technologies to support and influence future strategic goals.

Reporting into the Technology Intelligence function, the Technology Analyst will support the team by researching main competitors, their portfolios and market activity, with the focus on technology/engineering related analysis of software supporting industrial automation (not the market/business analysis made by a Business Analyst).

  • You will collect, aggregate, summarize overall findings and create reports that distill findings into important headlines.

  • You have technical background to use the Rockwell Automation and competitors' software products and perform their hands-on evaluation.

  • You will also often be called on to present research to important partners. Results will be used to inform decision makers with the most accurate and timely intelligence possible.

In general, necessary training for our hardware will be provided within the team.

You will report directly to the AT Lab Manager located in Czech Republic, Prague. You will work with the team in the hybrid system in our office in Prague.

Responsibilities:

You will:

  • Gathering – research and aggregate relevant content on the implementation of main technologies in the market today. Collaborate across multiple teams also collecting related information.

  • Analyzing – use the competitive software and perform its hands-on analysis for evaluation.

  • Synthesis – study and distill findings and create summaries that highlight the most relevant findings.

  • Report and Present – create reports that explain findings for a range of audiences. Present findings to a range of audiences from technical subject matter experts to partners without deep technical backgrounds.

  • Demonstrate usage and workflows of competitive software offerings.

Requirements/Qualifications:

You need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in related fields, such as engineering, science and technology.

  • Background in technological field (industrial automation). Other relevant research experience is valued.

  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to distil large amounts of content into succinct summaries and headlines.

  • Curiosity are foundational skills needed for this role.

  • Organizational skills - role will process and manage large amounts of collected data. New sources of data will also increase in the future. Accuracy in maintaining this data resource is imperative.

  • Proficient in written and spoken English

  • Excellent research and analytical skills and attention to detail. Able to process large amounts of information quickly and assess it critically.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
