Location - Pune, India
Role Description
The Business Analyst (Data) will be part of the Chief Data office Transformation and execution team and will work with the Senior business analyst to understand and articulate the business requirements related to data demands from central and divisional teams across DWS. This includes requirements around Data tooling, Data platform, Divisional use cases to build bottom-up data demands, Regulatory remediation upliftment plans, Reporting requirements on Data risk KPI, Data management and quality issues.
This position requires exposure to working with requirements analysis techniques of Data projects. Understanding of tooling requirements around Data governance and management tools (Collibra, DQDirect) and functional and non-functional requirements around Data Architecture and Data engineering platforms are critical for success of this role. Understanding of business process improvement, workflow mapping, visual development techniques is advantageous.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Business analyst in requirement gathering of Data initiatives.
- Work with the different teams within, Data Architecture , Data engineering , Enterprise Architecture to understand the technical and tooling requirements around Data platforms
- Work with the Divisional data leads to understand the requirements around data demands in alignment to Data strategy, regulatory remediation requirements for data governance , Data quality management requirements.
- Regularly help the senior business analyst to groom the Data demand backlog with the respective Product Owners of the various teams by adding, prioritizing, and/or removing feature-level user stories to maintain alignment to the CDO and divisional strategic vision and roadmaps
- Producing and amending Design deliverables, such as user stories, to support the execution teams
- Collaborates with other various Organization workstreams to ensure that the requirements are understood and followed by those teams, and to ensure compliance with the solution architecture
- Contributing to or facilitating workshops with stakeholders (Business, technical team and Third Parties) as required (e.g. to clarify business requirements, to agree aspects of the functional design)
- Facilitating the review of deliverables with agreed stakeholders, ensuring issues relating to own work products are resolved satisfactorily.
- Supporting the Build and Test teams as required to assist traceability of the Design to Build and Test artefacts
- Contributing to estimates and plans or to impact assessments for change requests.
- Identifying and escalating risks, issues, dependencies and scope changes, with suggested mitigating actions wherever possible
- Support cross-functional teams comprised of subject matter experts to facilitate requirements development
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyze information needs and functionality requirements.
- Perform detailed requirement analysis to determine conditions of satisfaction and to understand the impact to other systems, projects, domains, and operational teams
- Answer ad hoc questions and provide clarification/direction to development and support teams regarding user stories and functions
- Review and approve test plans and test cases
- Partner with product/process owner to educate end-users and processors regarding new enhancements
- Contribute to continuous improvement and proactively support knowledge-sharing within the domain/project team and the Analyst practitioner community
Your Skills and Experience
- Should have knowledge and experience of 1+ years in Data domain in business analyst capacity.
- Should have total 5 + years of experience as a business analyst.
- experience of business analysis in Data domain
- Experience with Data Architecture and Data governance teams
- Scope management
- Must have exceptional soft skills, including the ability to speak to both technical and business concerns.
- Ability to think logically, critically, and constructively about complex problems and propose solutions that address expressed needs
- Ability to facilitate negotiation and build consensus amongst competing parties, ultimately driving teams to decision
- Ability to work with stakeholders to identify and define priorities appropriately
- Proven experience and passion for facilitating requirements gathering sessions and designing customer facing interfaces (navigation, look, and feel) for complex web applications and websites
- Excellent strength in time management and organisation skills with an aptitude toward creative problem solving
- Ability to operate independently and effectively, making progress on tasks while dealing with process and project ambiguity
- Experience with analysis in Agile development environments
