Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Broadcast Operations Technician II is responsible for overseeing systems and ensuring the quality of video content within the Master Control environment. This role involves monitoring and managing live broadcasts, overseeing playback of recorded material, and addressing any issues related to signal collection and distribution. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and adaptable to new technologies, with a commitment to delivering a seamless and high-quality viewing experience. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure the stability of IP-based signal paths for broadcasts, addressing technical challenges and collaborating with teams to maintain reliable delivery of content.
  • Manage live TV broadcasts for Sling TV and Dish Network, including sports, movies, and pay-per-view (PPV) content, to ensure reliable and seamless delivery that meets viewer satisfaction standards.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues to maintain a consistent and high-quality experience.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and corporate departments to support smooth operations.
  • Prepare and oversee the daily schedules for over 300 channels, ensuring all content airs as planned.
  • Thoroughly review processed video files to ensure accuracy and smooth playback for an optimal viewer experience.


Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree or two years of experience/training in a related field or, equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Capable of staying composed and making sound decisions in high-pressure or fast-paced situations.
  • Quickly adapts to new processes and tools, with a strong ability to identify and address potential issues proactively.

Scheduled Weekly Hours:
Sun - Wed - Swing Shift 4x10 - 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM (10% Shift Differential)
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $14.47/Hour - $24.43/Hour

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
