About the Role

Join Alfa Laval as a Technical Product Manager – Decanter.
Alfa Laval is seeking a Technical Product Manager for our Decanter R&D portfolio. In this role, you will shape technical direction, champion design excellence, and collaborate across teams to deliver solutions that meet business goals and user needs. You will identify new technical opportunities, ensure quality and compliance, and foster continuous improvement throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership:
    Set the direction and design standards for projects and activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs. Identify and prioritize new technical opportunities and innovations that can be integrated into the product. Translate complex technical requirements into actionable tasks for the R&D teams.
  • Design & Development:
    Establish and maintain design guidelines and policies to ensure consistency and quality across the portfolio. Monitor and manage technical debt to ensure long-term product sustainability.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance:
    Implement design quality control processes and ensure designs meet compliance and standardization requirements. Participate in claim investigations and work closely with the compliance and quality teams. Coordinate efforts to identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Specification & Documentation Management:
    Manage and maintain product specifications, documentation, and systems throughout the entire product life cycle.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
    Facilitate clear and effective communication between R&D, Product and Portfolio Management, Supply Chain Development, Service, and other cross-functional teams. Engage with stakeholders to ensure design solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Evaluate design performance, implement lessons learned and drive ongoing improvements. Implement lessons learned to enhance future design and development processes.

Who You Are

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong background in product design, development, and technical leadership
  • Experience with quality assurance, compliance, documentation and standardization processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable plans
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
