Technical Writer
You will be responsible for creating detailed and comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and product specifications, working under direct supervision. The role works closely with engineering, product management, and design teams to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content. The role involves conducting in-depth research to ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date, as well as implementing industry best practices to enhance quality.
Your Role:
- Develop detailed and comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and product specifications, ensuring accuracy and clarity across all materials, working under direct supervision.
- Collaborate extensively with engineering, product management, and design teams to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
- Conduct in-depth research to understand the functionality, features, and technical aspects of products, ensuring that all documentation is based on accurate and up-to-date information.
- Implement best practices in technical writing, incorporating industry standards and organizational protocols to enhance the quality and effectiveness of documentation.
- Analyze feedback from users and stakeholders to continuously improve the clarity, usability, and accessibility of technical documentation.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to validate and verify technical content, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of all documentation.
- Maintain and update existing documentation in line with product updates, ensuring that all materials reflect the latest features, functionalities, and technical specifications.
- Ensure that all technical documentation is consistent with brand guidelines, organizational tone, and style, while also meeting regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Optimize documentation processes by identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements that enhance productivity and quality.
- Troubleshoot and swiftly resolve any documentation-related issues or discrepancies, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and deliverables.
- Specialize in a particular area of the product or technology, becoming the go-to expert for technical documentation related to that area and providing specialized content as needed.
You are fit if:
- You have bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or SW Engineering or equivalent.
- You have minimum 2 years of experience in Technical Writing
- Your skills include attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem solving
- You are a self-starter with the ability and desire to continuously learn.
- You have structured authoring experience with any of the XML/DITA-based Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Arbortext on Windchill, or any other editor.
- You have good skills in the areas of writing and are conversant in English grammar & Technical Writing
- You have a strong command of the English language with excellent communication skills.
- Broad technical knowledge of medical devices/products is a plus
How we work together:
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
This role is an office-based role.
