PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Technical Writer assists in the development, maintenance and distribution of technical documentation within the assigned function(s).  The incumbent collaborates with cross-divisional teams in the research and translation of technical information for technical and nontechnical users in compliance with company policy and procedures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of all necessary technical documents within the assigned function(s).
  • Maintain service records to track and/or highlight general issues, correction actions and procedural modifications.
  • Support the distribution of all applicable technical documentation to cross-divisional teams and/or customers as necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-divisional teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of written information in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

An Associate's degree or equivalent vocational training/experience.

 

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:       

  • 2 - 5 years' related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent directly related work experience.
  • Prior experience in a dialysis and/or hospital environment preferred.
  • Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation and email applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cohesively within a team environment.
  • Great oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
