We are seeking a Technical Writer responsible for creating and updating the full range of technical documentation, including functional descriptions, system specifications, requirements documents, user guides, technical diagrams, interface control documents, and system security documents. Maintains the project document repository in SharePoint and ensures SDLC documentation is produced and kept current, producing up to 100 documents or document packages per year to meet contract requirements.

*This position is contingent upon contract award.*

Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit technical documents and packages — reports, user manuals, standard operating procedures, system configuration guides, briefings, and security assessment reports.
  • Develop outlines and drafts for review and approval by technical specialists and management, ensuring documents meet applicable requirements and regulations.
  • Research and gather technical and background information from source materials, staff, and existing documentation.
  • Coordinate and perform document formatting; revise and edit text and recommend changes to scope, format, and content for conformance to standards.
  • Maintain the project document repository in SharePoint and ensure SDLC documentation is created and maintained continuously.
  • Route deliverables through the formal approval workflow and incorporate stakeholder feedback; be available within ten business days of task assignment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Years of Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Education Level: BS/BA (or equivalent).
  • Clearance Requirements: Public Trust / High-Risk IT (minimum adjudicated NACI); U.S. citizenship required.
  • Certification Requirements: Relevant industry certifications preferred; none required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint; experience with SDLC/eSDLC documentation, structured writing, and technical editing.

Salary Range: $65,000 to $90,000

The compensation range listed for this position represents the good faith salary range Diné Development Corporation (DDC) and its subsidiaries reasonably expect to pay for the role, in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the position's responsibilities, the candidate's education, experience, skills, internal equity, market considerations, and any applicable collective bargaining agreements or legal requirements.
