Echodyne is seeking a Technical Writer to join our fast-growing team. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop high quality documentation such as user guides, installation procedures, system integration guides, online help and training materials for the radar systems, both hardware and software.
- Collaborate with SMEs to gather content as well as working directly with the radar hardware and software products to gain firsthand exposure to documentation needs.
- Create customer training curriculum for both written and video formats. Develop written content and scripts for training materials.
- Coordinate video content creation with outside entity based on user manuals and written training materials.
- Regularly review, update, and improve existing documentation to reflect product updates, process changes, and feedback from internal teams.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards for clarity, format, and structure, providing consistent style and tone across materials.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Strong communication skills; adept at synthesizing and conveying complex, technical concepts into information that can be digested by a less-technical audience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with SMEs to obtain appropriate content for the materials.
- Self-starter; able to work autonomously and be dynamic when priorities shift.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
(Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)
- Experience with establishing a repeatable structure for documentation and customer training.
- Video production and editing experience and/or coordination of customer training videos.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 6-8 years of experience as a technical content writer.
