About the role:

As a leading fintech company, we are looking to enhance our digital enablement and as part of that we are creating a new team with the organization to manage our documentation.

To bridge the gap between complex technical solutions and their end users by creating clear, concise, and accurate documentation across all our digital offerings across regions covered by the group. Including but not limited to direct to merchant offerings, Partnerships and Acquirer Processing with the goal of enhancing user experiences, driving adoption of products, and supporting seamless integrations, ultimately contributing to the organization’s success in delivering innovative solutions

This includes developing materials such as API references, user manuals, developer guides, and integration instructions that enable users to effectively utilize digital products, tools, and systems whilst also acting as a point of contact for strategic partners for technical integrations if required.


Responsibilities

•    Drive Utilization: Simplify complex technical concepts for external developer audiences, including API references, developer guides, and integration workflows and tracking the utilization and performance and using this data to share with stakeholders and imbed and track improvements continuously.

•    Product Lifecycle: Participate in product development cycles to making sure documentation aligns with product functionality and updates ensuring a high quality and accuracy throughout our documentation

•    Technical Integration Support: Provide direct or indirect (through documentation and workflows) support and guidance around our API’s and technical solutions to colleagues, developers, partners & merchants, helping them maximize the value of our products and services through best practices and emerging trends.

•    Documentation Development:  Create and maintain technical documentation, including API references, user manuals, developer guides, integration guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting materials.
•    Content Management:  Maintain version control for documentation and ensure accuracy during updates or system changes whilst organizing and structuring the content for intuitive navigation and readability by looking at and implemented best practices in the industry.
•    Process Optimization: Create and drive efficiencies by, developing standardize templates, processes, and best practices for technical documentation and continuously improving through reviews and intervention to improve usability and efficiency.

•    Decision Making: Take accountability and ownership for all day-to-day decision making under your remit and build realistic and achievable (but ambitious) solutions that are both aligned to NI strategy and market needs.

•    Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the wider team, including but not limited to product, engineering and customer support teams. Using your excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills to ensure a constructive outcome in all engagements.

•    Team Brand Establishment: Cultivate strong relationships with developers, partners, merchants and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor for their E-commerce related needs.
 

Experience and Skills Required
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field.
•    3+ years of experience as a technical writer, preferably in the digital payment’s domain
•    Proven ability to write clear and concise documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
•    Familiarity with digital payment systems, eCommerce platforms, APIs, and web technologies.
•    Proficiency in tools like Markdown, Confluence, Git, and other content management systems.
•    Experience with API documentation tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger).
•    Basic understanding of technology stacks (e.g. JSON, PHP JavaScript, Python, or HTML/CSS) is a plus.
•    Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
•    Ability to be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment
