What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering (EAML).  CIBC is committed to protect the safety, soundness and reputation of CIBC by reducing the likelihood that CIBC will be used as a vehicle for, or become a victim of, Money Laundering or Terrorist Financing (ML/TF) activities. You’ll be successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale projects involving multiple back-end systems. 

As a Technical Systems Analyst, you will help gather system requirements, implement and maintain easy, flexible, and personalized solutions that enhance the client experience. In particular to supporting Large Cash transaction Reports (LCTR). The Technical Systems Consultant collaborates with developers, architects and infrastructure specialists to gather requirements and conduct research to evaluate the application of new and emerging tools and techniques, identifying patterns and best practices to consider in technology proposals while anticipating long term business issues. The role devises new methods and procedures using strong analytic and inductive thinking, developing project plans based on appropriate standards and methodology.

How You'll Succeed

  • Production Support - Investigate and define operational issues and prioritize based on severity, risk and/or strategic business needs. Collaborate with business and support team to design and implement solutions to prevent recurrence with the end goal of ensuring clients satisfaction.

  • Partnership - Work as a regular liaison with business partners, technology partners, senior management team, internal and external clients. Ensure internal clients are well-informed of the team mandate and nature, including relevant policies and legislation changes. Promote and support the concepts, products and services of the Channel Support area.

  • Projects Delivery - Act as subject matter expert in the assessment of impacts for planned system changes and projects, ensuring compliance with relevant organization standards (Business, Continuity, Security, Compliance, and Privacy); develop and maintain productive relationships with Technology, QA, Project team and others. Investigate, analyze and provide recommendations on issues and system outages.

  • Design and development - Perform and coordinate complicated application programming activities. Design the application's technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches. Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.
