We are seeking to hire a new Technical support specialist to our offering team dedicated to lead maintenance material solutions and developments to deliver high value to customers and business stakeholders. You will drive the development, implementation and follow-up of our spare part offering to improve our service material offering availability. Technical Support Specialist reports to GSS Offering Manager.
4.What will you be doing?- Technical support for KONE Frontlines and GSS teams
- Material identification support for Frontlines
- Quotations (price and delivery time) to Frontlines in urgent cases (stop lift or equal situations)
- Supplier suggestions for sourcing technically challenging materials
- Collecting technical information of materials and follow-up of recording it to systems
- Material replacement studies (material functionality, quality and safety)
- Physical material identification (against material database)
- Technical studies for warranty claims
- Technical support for purchasing (supplier contact, technical clarification, purchase price inquiries)
- Responsible for managing the lifecycle of spare materials in the GSS offering
- Ensure product compliance, including governance, documentation, and regulatory reporting.
- Maintain product compliance and liability throughout the product lifecycle, while supporting pricing strategies through cost analysis, benchmarking, and supplier negotiations.
- Work assigned by the team leader
- Sound knowledge in handling technical enquiries and product or spares specifications
- Hands-on experience in managing spare parts offering portfolio including catalogue maintenance considering availability and lifecycle updates
- Experience in supplier engagement, including obtaining quotations and clarifying product specifications, technical details and pricing
- Strong knowledge of SAP, Product Data Management and Master Data Management systems, BOM’s.
- Proficiency in O365, SharePoint, and engineering drawing tools
- Strong execution skills with a focus on speed and quality
- Understanding of supply chain, material, and master data processes.
- Familiarity with elevator, escalator and building door products
- Experience in elevator installation and maintenance tools management and design application
- Experience with VariPDM, Adobe tools, and technical documentation
- Bachelor or master’s technical degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- 10-12 years of relevant overall experience
- minimum 5 years’ experience in Technical Task in Mechanical / electrical engineering
- minimum 5 year of product life cycle management
- minimum 3 years of master data management or product data management
- Preferred background includes experience in international and cross-functional collaboration.
- Detail-oriented, innovative and proactive in solving technical challenges
- Elevator product/component knowledge seen as asset
- Comfortable working in a virtual and cross-functional global team environment
