We are looking for a skilled System Administrator with strong expertise in Windows and Linux environments, virtualization platforms (KVM/VMware), and CI/CD tools like GitLab and Jenkins. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining IT infrastructure and responsible for procurement for raising POs , automating routine tasks, supporting development pipelines, and ensuring high system availability.
The ideal candidate should have solid troubleshooting skills, a good understanding of system security and networking, and the ability to manage assets and coordinate with vendors effectively. Experience in automation tools, scripting, and container technologies will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities1. Operating System Installation & Server Management
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems on servers and desktop systems.
Perform regular system updates, patching, and security hardening.
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability of IT infrastructure.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across server and client environments.
2. Windows & Linux Administration
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux distributions such as RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux), Ubuntu, and Rocky Linux.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and system security policies.
Handle system backups, recovery processes, and disaster recovery planning.
Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting (Shell, Bash, PowerShell).
3. Virtualization Management
- Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines using KVM and VMware hypervisor (ESXi/vSphere).
Monitor resource utilization (CPU, memory, storage) and optimize performance of virtual environments.
Manage VM provisioning, snapshots, cloning, and migrations.
4. CI/CD Tools Management
- Install, configure, and maintain CI/CD tools like GitLab and Jenkins.
Support development teams by managing repositories, pipelines, and build automation.
Troubleshoot pipeline failures and optimize build/deployment processes.
5. Asset & Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets including servers, desktops, networking devices, and licenses.
Track asset lifecycle from procurement to decommissioning.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
6. Procurement & Vendor Coordination
- Manage IT material requirements and initiate procurement processes.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for hardware/software purchases.
Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery and resolve procurement issues.
Work closely with the finance/payments team to track invoices and ensure timely payments.

- BE/B.Tech in Electronics, Comp. Science or relevant field.
