Job Description:

About the Role:

  • We are looking for a Technical Support Manager (Ceramics) to provide top-notch technical support to our customers and work closely with Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, and Technology & Innovation teams.

  • In this role, you will act as a key technical interface between Sibelco and our customers, supporting products applications, resolving technical and quality issues, managing customer complaints, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Key  Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the investigation and resolution of customer complaints, working cross-functionally with Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, and Technology & Innovation teams.

  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), define and track corrective actions, and prepare RCCA reports for customers.

  • Monitor plant and finished-product quality trends, investigate deviations, and work with Operations to address quality concerns.

  • Conduct regular plant visits and process reviews to verify corrective actions and identify potential quality risks.

  • Build strong relationships with customers' technical teams to understand their processes, specifications, and evolving technical requirements.

  • Provide technical support for customer trials and the introduction of new or improved products.

  • Develop a strong understanding of customer processes to support troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with customers, Operations, and Commercial teams to establish and review product specifications.

  • Monitor relevant market and technology developments and contribute technical insights to future product and service opportunities.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or a related technical discipline.

  • Relevant experience in technical support, technical sales, quality, product development, or innovation role, preferably within industrial minerals, ceramics, or a related manufacturing industry.

    Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes, product quality, and root cause analysis.

  • Ability to translate customer technical requirements into practical solutions and actions.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Comfortable working across Commercial, Operations, Quality, and technical functions.

  • Willingness to travel regularly to customers and production sites.

  • Proficient in written and spoken English and the local language of the country of base. Additional languages are an advantage.

  • Good digital literacy and data-analysis skills
