The job  

This is an excellent opportunity to launch and grow your career in technical support within one of the world's leading industrial software companies. You will join a talented and supportive team of professionals who are passionate about helping customers get the most out of AVEVA's Simulation software.

You will complete a thorough onboarding and training programme before taking on your own customer cases, with continuous guidance and mentoring from experienced colleagues. Over time, you will build deep expertise in AVEVA's Simulation portfolio, develop strong customer relationships, and grow into a trusted technical advisor. If you are curious, eager to learn, and genuinely enjoy helping people solve problems, this role is for you.

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Complete our structured onboarding and training programme to build a solid foundation in AVEVA Simulation products, including AVEVA Process Simulation, PRO/II, and Dynamic Simulation.
  • Support customers in their day-to-day use of AVEVA Simulation products, responding to technical enquiries with guidance from senior team members where needed.
  • Develop your troubleshooting skills by reproducing customer problems, analyzing simulation models, identifying potential causes, and collaborating with senior engineers, Product Management, and R&D teams when required.
  • Assist in the delivery of customer training courses and workshops, both remotely and on-site, growing towards independent training delivery over time.
  • Contribute to the team knowledge base by creating and maintaining knowledge articles, best practice guides, and technical documentation.
  • Support software evaluations and pre-sales engagements by providing technical input under the guidance of more senior colleagues.
  • Represent AVEVA professionally at customer meetings, user groups, and industry events as your experience and confidence grows.

 

Essential requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in the process industries or a related field. Recent graduates with strong academic backgrounds in process engineering or simulation are welcome to apply.
  • Fluent Italian and English in both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Italy and the wider EMEA region.
  • Eagerness to learn, a self-motivated mindset, and genuine enthusiasm for technical problem solving.

 

Desired skills 

  • Some familiarity with process simulation tools (e.g. AVEVA APS, PRO/II, Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or similar) from academic or industrial experience is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with industrial sectors such as refining, petrochemicals, chemicals, energy transition, or renewables.
  • Good communication skills with clear and professional in both written and verbal interactions with customers and colleagues.
  • Empathy and a customer-first mindset, patient, attentive, and committed to delivering a positive experience even in challenging situations.
  • A reliable team player who is proactive, supportive of colleagues, and always willing to go the extra mile.
