Full Stack Software Engineer, CDMX

The Role:

Arketa is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer who likes solving real problems for real customers. You will own work end to end, from reproducing an issue to shipping the fix, and you will grow into building full product features alongside our engineering team.

You will work across our Node.js and React/TypeScript stack with teammates based in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

This role is hybrid, 3 days per week in our Mexico City office. English fluency is required.

How this role works at Arketa:

We run a rotational ramp so that every engineer learns the product from the inside out before owning large features. We are upfront about this because it is core to how we ship confidently and deliver a great customer experience.

• Months 0 to 9 (product mastery): You focus on fixing bugs and shipping small, high-impact features that come directly from customers and our support team. This is the fastest way to build deep, real-world knowledge of how Arketa works and where it breaks.

• Month 9 and beyond (full feature ownership): You graduate into full feature development as a member of the product engineering team. If building out and leading is where your strengths are, there is room to help grow the function too.

This is not a support desk role. It is a software engineering role with a deliberate on-ramp that turns customer problems into product expertise.

Your first 90 days:

• Days 0 to 30: Get familiar with the codebase and ramp up on bug fixes.

• Days 30 to 90: Begin interacting with customers through our support channels and start building tools that improve bug triage.

Your first 6 to 9 months:

Roughly 60% of your time will be spent close to customers, fixing bugs and resolving user experience edge cases, with the other 40% focused on improving systems for the long term. In practice that looks like:

• Triage, investigate, and resolve bugs reported by customers and the support team.

• Own issues end to end: reproduce, diagnose, fix, validate, and communicate.

• Collaborate closely with Support to provide timely updates and clarity on issues.

• Improve system reliability by identifying root causes, not just patching symptoms.

• Maintain high quality standards across testing, edge cases, and regressions.

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years experience as a software engineer

• Strong written and spoken English fluency

• Production experience in node.js and react/typescript

• Experience in fast moving environment, such as small companies or a start-up

• AI-tooling proficiency: AI as a force multiplier

• Eligibility to work out of our Mexico City office

For this role, the estimated annual base salary range is $45,000 - $50,000 USD, depending on experience and qualifications. We believe in compensating fairly and transparently, and we’re happy to provide more detail during the interview process.
